I am delighted and very relieved to finally have completed the update and reworking of my Retro Flower Crochet Pattern. It is one of the first patterns I made and when looking over it a little while ago I realised it was in need of a makeover. I finally found time for it and it now comprises of 4 variations of flower rather than 3 and – I think – is a better and cleaner design.
The pattern is available in both UK and US terms and both have been tested. The pattern includes instructions on how to make a standing treble crochet/double crochet and an invisible join. When working treble crochet/double crochet in circles it makes the joining area so much neater – almost invisible. There are photos to illustrate the two techniques as well as one special stitch (half treble 5 together over 5 stitches/ half double crochet 5 together over 5 stitches).
The flowers are fun and colourful (or not if you wish) and can be used for many things – garlands, table decor, coasters and embellishments come to mind.
It is available for a small sum in both my Etsy shop and Ravelry shop. If buying from my Etsy shop please make sure you get the right listing as the US and UK versions are listed separately.
If you make the flower and use Instagram please #retroflower to share your photos, I would love to see your versions.
