I made these rainbow circles many years ago when I was first starting out as a crocheter and designer. I sold a few sets, but never thought of them as a pattern as such, as they are so simple. However, I recently sent them to a dear friend for her to hang rainbows in her window, and she loved them, so I thought maybe it is time to share the idea and pattern more widely!

I made the ones in the photos with Scheepjes Catona and a 3 mm hook, but any yarn can be used. They need a bit of strethcing into place with your fingers once they’re done and all ends sewn in, but no wet-blocking is required. The beginning of each row is written out to start with a standing stitch as it is neater and in the end easier than starting with a turning chain. If you are not familiar with standing stitches, you can find a tutorial here.
Please remember that this is my design and my copyright. You’re most welcome to use the pattern for yourself, but please do not copy, reproduce, translate or publish it as your own. If you sell what you make or post pictures of your makes I would appreciate if you mention where you got the pattern and direct people to my site. Thanks!
