Spring has arrived (with a few days in between that don’t quite know what they are doing!) and it won’t be long till the plant world starts to spring properly into life. With it will come birds and bees – and butterflies. I love decorating my home according to the seasons and summer definitely calls for butterflies, so here is a pattern for a Large Crochet Butterfly I made last year. It works well as a garland or together with smaller butterflies on a string.
The pattern is written out below in UK terms – you can find a guide to abbreviations here. You are welcome to sell what you make with this pattern, but please credit me as the designer or, if you sell online, post a link to my pattern. You may not sell or redistribute this pattern in any way or pass it off as your own work.

I hope you enjoy making this pattern! I would love to see your versions of the Butterfly, so you can tag me on Instagram or add it as a project on Ravelry. You can also send it to me on Facebook.
It takes me a long time to design these patterns and to write them out. I have decided to keep my site ad-free, so if you like my patterns I’d be very happy if you would consider making a small donation towards the cost:
Thank you!

[…] I designed two (the pattern for the larger one is available here) and kept the smaller one going, but have abandoned the larger one – certainly for sales […]
